- Olivia and Peter visit Grayson to find more information about a victim of spontaneous human combustion. Grayson provides some information and claims that William Bell is behind the event and that his company, Massive Dynamic, is a cover to allow Bell to continue his experiments, including secret drug trials. He further claims that the victim of the combustion was a test subject of Bell and that he was trying to activate him to become a super soldier. Further questioning, however, reveals that Grayson believes that these subjects were to fight in a war involving the United Federation of Planets and Romulans coming from the future, which casts some doubts about his credibility.
