Mako helped the investigation during Midnight by locating a GPS and the associated vehicle that led to the location of another victim, and ultimately to the capture of Valerie Boone.

He consorted with Peter Bishop in prior dealings. Peter swears that if there's a stripped car found in The Greater Boston Area, it's guaranteed Mako was involved.
