New York City is the location of Massive Dynamic Corporate Headquarters. The greater metropolitan area served as the backdrop for many pattern and ZFT-related crimes in the first season of FRINGE.
- The science team, and other investigators from the Boston Federal Building and the FBI Field Office there, frequently converged on the city to interview suspects and leads, and to recover victims for study in Walter's Lab.

Pilot — Olivia meets Nina and discovers her robotic arm.
The Same Old Story — Olivia borrows an electronic pulse camera from Nina to locate the murderers.
The Arrival — The Beacon arrives near a suburban diner, causing chaos at a construction site.
The Cure — Peter meets Nina at an equestrian center and learns the location of the secret lab used by the criminals.
The Dreamscape — A young executive plunges to his death following a business briefing. A criminal is located fleeing the city and dies in the hospital.
The Transformation — A commercial plane crashes in a northern suburb after a passenger turns into a raging beast, just before landing.
Ability — Olivia meets with Nina and is briefed on Bell's development of Cortexiphan.
Bad Dreams — Nick Lane kills several citizens in various locations, revealing his thoughts to Olivia as he does so. Midnight — A distressed woman fails to make it to a midtown hospital and combusts on the street. Nina is shot outside of her residence.
There's More Than One Of Everything — Nina receives emergency medical care. A tractor-trailer rig fails to transit fully from a parallel universe and crashes in a busy intersection. Olivia arrrives to meet Nina for a meal and some answers. After Nina fails to show, Olivia takes an elevator ride to a parallel universe and meets William Bell in his World Trade Center office.
Jacksonville — A building from the parallel universe is sent over and causes rearrangement of the building in this side. Newton, disguised himself as a construction crew, is seen in a security camera two hours before the incident.
Season 3 — Liberty Island in New York Harbor is the focal point for much of the conflict and science associated with the battle between the parallel universes.
