- The Time Machine
- What evidence is there to assume that Walter did not create a device to travel through space and time? It seems like a pretty important part of the episode that he has to learn that he made a machine to travel through space-time.

- The creative staff of FRINGE has deep roots in the creative saga on the TV show, LOST - the fictional, instantaneous, pan-global teleportation of individuals are similarly conceived on both of them.
- - In late 2008, Jones travelled thousands of miles, to the opposite side of the planet, to a precise location, in a controlled teleportation. There was no time variance (gain/loss/travel). He required Dramamine to prevent nausea, and applied lotion to prevent skin burn. He arrived alert and aware.
- - In early 2005, LOST character Ben Linus travelled thousands of miles, to the opposite side of the planet, to an approximate location, in a hasty teleportation. There was considerable time variance (9 months). Without Dramamine or sun tan lotion, he arrived unaware and disoriented, nauseous (vomiting) and with a moderate skin burn.
- - Conclude that the science has be refined over the intervening three year period. Extrapolate that the same (currently unknown) forces (corporations, governments, criminal enterprises) are behind the advanced science over the past four decades, as they are revealed on both television programs.
- Note: Mitchell Loeb reminds Jones that he has to go to a decompression chamber. Researchers have learned how to avoid discomfort, but at the price of needing decompression soon after arrival.
- Abduction
- Olivia was abducted because she still contains John Scott's memories, which are of great value to Massive Dynamic.
- She was abducted by David Robert Jones, not Massive Dynamic, unless the two are connected. Given Nina Sharp's reaction to the news of Olivia's abduction, this doesn't seem likely.
- Nina is an actor; we should not assume that her public expressions are related to her private thoughts. If she already knew about Jones' plans, she would not admit it.
- It is possible that Olivia was kidnapped on Jones' order because "his people" know she has Scott's memories and want to keep them from Massive Dynamic.
- Massive Dynamic and ZFT, or whoever is employing Jones and Loeb, may be competing against each other over something, and Olivia's access to John's memories are deemed highly valuable by both sides.
- This hypothesis may be further supported by the fact that Loeb and Jones were the primary antagonists in "In Which We Meet Mr. Jones" and "Safe", and Loeb was the one employing Joanne Ostler in "The Equation". "The Dreamscape" was centered around Massive Dynamic, and Jones and Loeb were apparently not involved with the events of that episode at all.
- Massive Dynamic and ZFT, or whoever is employing Jones and Loeb, may be competing against each other over something, and Olivia's access to John's memories are deemed highly valuable by both sides.
- An alternate hypothesis is that they intend to turn her to their cause as they had previously turned both John Scott and Loeb.
- The abduction is due to desire of Jones to check if Olivia is treated with cortexiphan (thus, the spinal tap) and to convince her to be part of ZFT (recruit/soldier). -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 15:38, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

- Olivia's Photographic Memory
Olivia possesses a photographic memory, unexplained whether is is due to her Cortexiphan experiments with Walter and Bell. This ability is demonstrated in several episodes and when Bolivia has to take Olivia's place she is troubled with that fact and asks herself how she's going to fake that.
