Origin of Last Name

Could it be from the inventor Philo Farnsworth (who invented the first all-electronic television) or the Futurama character Hubert Farnsworth?

- I theorize that Farnsworth is from Philo as he was a "farm" boy and not recognized in his lifetime. Gene might be from that area!--Hurtinfrog 17:13, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Characters Names

Many characters on Fringe seem to get their names from inventors. Thomas Newton (Isaac Newton), William Bell (Alexander Graham Bell) and Astrid Farnsworth (Filo Farnsworth, commonly credited with the invention of the television). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JigShaun (talkcontribs) .

- "Seems to get their..." - yeah - that is converstaional gossip about a "maybe". It belongs here on the talk page. The character page is for KNOWN facts about the character. Facts = major/minor/trivial known facts. Now if the producers/writers tell us that is a fact - then we can add it back. Buts, maybes and what-ifs belong here. -- –DocH my edits 00:20, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
