Glyph(s)

Does anyone have a read on the "BETRAY" reference? One possibility, in my mind, is that Nayak betrayed the trust of his patients. Another is that Walter betrayed the trust of Agent Kashner when he tricked-drugged him for testing... much like he caught the ire of Astrid when he drugged her. A third, my fave, is the betrayal of Peter, by Walter... if in fact we saw the kidnapping of young Pete at the end of the episode, and the denial of 11 years of dreams. I tried to make an Olivia-Charlie connection, but could not see a clear one. Anybody? -- –DocH my edits 04:26, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

- Not unless you consider Fake Charlie to "betray" her? - Xerophytes 21:45, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
- I think people are betrayed by their own perception. They perceive a reality that does not exist.--LabGo 23:35, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

- Wasn't the message from the 'activity' that Sam Weiss had Olivia do the same thing that Charlie told Olivia on her first mission as an FBI agent?
- Yes, that's why it was what she needed to hear.
- Olivia doesn't seem to take a lot of notes; when she is flipping through her notebook when Sam asks her to write down the letters for the anagram, you can see the page where the empath child from "Inner Child" wrote down an address upside down and backwards for her.
- The date June 28th, 1984, that is shown on the chalkboard in the coda of the episode is the same date that the alleged Challenger 11th mission took place. Gschizas
- Regarding Challenger we should also say that, in our universe, by the middle of 1984 this Shuttle only completed 5 missions. So, in the Alternate Universe, STS program is about two years in advance of ours LucaMauri 02:01, 27 March 2011 (MST)
- You just did say it. But it has nothing to do with the story/episode page. –DocH my edits 12:16, 27 March 2011 (MST)
- What is the name of the opera piece that Walter listens to in the lab?
- I looked. Can't find it on the FOX recap web. They just listed the one piece that we have listed on the episode page. -- –DocH my edits 00:11, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

The Anagram

I feel like last year when we were suspecting glyphs to be a code. This time I suspect the episode titles may be hiding something. I find the titles a bit strange, like they are trying to somehow fit specific words in them. I tried to look at this from different angles. For example, the last two titles are made up of words starting and ending with roman numerals, which I found interesting since the last episode referred to Italian food and Asterix ('Ass tricks' for you DocH), who is well known to fight Romans.

But then there is the famous and quite boring Sam Weiss anagram. Was this for Olivia or was it a clue for us? Take a letter from each word in your list of names (8 family names + 8 first names), for a total of 16 letters and form an anagram. It just happens that we have 16 words in the titles up to now. Should we try to take a letter in each word and form an anagram? This is not easy at all. There are many possibilities. This is my best attempt:
A NEW DAY IN THE OLD TOWN NIGHT OF DESIRABLE OBJECTS FRACTURE MOMENTUM DEFERRED DREAM LOGIC
Results: A N Y I E O T N F S C F M R R G
Anagram: TRY FRINGEFANS.COM [1]

As I said, this is likely one of many possibilities...--LabGo 04:01, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Locking the Page

Is high volume bad? The(re) have been four edits this month; two of them were mine.--Jim 20:37, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

- Not sure what the problem is. High traffic (volume) is not edit-related, it's read-related. The "last episode" page traditionally takes most of its' vandalism hits on the day/evening of the episode that follows it. Best to batten down the hatches for a bit. If this is something you haven't been tracking like I have, then I can explain more, off-line, if you need more. –DocH my edits 22:20, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Okay.--Jim 00:13, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
