Press Release?
19 Feb 09 - Has anyone seen an official press release on this yet? I looked for an hour and could not find anything official on a FOX website - just fan/blog/wiki references based on SPOILERS. They normally won't go official until a few weeks prior (mid-March) –DocH– my edits 17:34, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- On Fox.com/Fringe, the Fringe Widget has the Date and Episode title in its countdown. I think that is official enough for one episode out. -- Dennis Talk Contribs 01:42, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Naming Dispute
Press is showing Winick as Dr., Closed Caps show Winnik as Dr. Have not gotten to credit replay yet to see which is correct. Will see soon. Cheers, –DocH– my edits 03:13, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Yellow M&M's
Significant? Seems like the yellow candies (that remind Olivia of youthful medicine) might also represent the yellow dots on the Fringe Glyphs. Don't know how any of that will fit into a theory - but have at it. Talk about product placement! –DocH– my edits 04:08, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Don't know, but Olivia did notice the yellow, pinetree-shaped (arrow-shaped) deodorizer hanging in the perp's van.--Jim 12:37, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe her 'Cortexiphan' came in little yellow pill form. I wonder what the green M&M's do for her? –DocH– my edits 18:10, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'd be more concerned with the blue ones. --Evil Joe 23:20, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Corrections I'd like to see on the page
I'd like to suggest the following additions / corrections to the page because they contain significant additional material, clarify the description, and/or correct text.
- Prologue
1. Replace 'senses a subsurface room' with "senses a room"
- ACT II
1. Replace 'conventional norms of beauty' with "his own norms of beauty"
- ACT IV
1. Replace 'Olivia explains the procedure to' with "Olivia comforts"
- ACT V
1. After 'an emotional connection', add "with the construction work, with the killer, and especially"
- ACT VI
1. Replace 'and stabs him' with "and in the scuffle, stabs him"
- Unanswered Questions
Add the following:
- Why does the boy bond with Olivia and not one of the others?
- Is the boy's bond to Olivia similar to the Observer's bond to Walter?

Continuity Glitch
When Olivia first goes to talk to Michaels out in the hallway, she places the notepad on the left side of the child as is the tray with M&M's (view's right). When there is a cut to view the boy through the window, the entire scene has reversed position. When they walk back in, it is back in the original placement. - Grey
- This was noted and solved a long time ago. There were other instances too. The boy is a mirror. He reflects back thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc... she is bonded to him and in his presence her reality is flipped. Think of how the Observer can bounce back your words AS you say them. Note: Words (soundwaves) are linear, they don't come back to you backwards, they just come back. -- –DocH– my edits 18:42, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Chess Connection
"The Bishops" could be seen as a reference to chess. While they both stand on opposite fields (resembling their abilities, behavior), they both move diagonally, i.e. they handle issues in an unconventional way. --Mewtwo 02:09, 13 January 2010 (UTC).
- - Nice analogy. Two bishop pieces on either side (B&W) means four total bishops per game. But, neither of the bishops on a side (W or B) aligns with one another on the same side. If W-Peter is dead and W-Walter kidnap B-Peter from alt-universe, they may be aligned now... leaving B-Walter at a disadvantage. Remember also that Walter has been referred to as the "King of Cups", King - a card reference, as well as chess, and Peter - a Jack of all trades - cards, not chess. Diagonally works well for both - never straight on. –DocH– my edits 03:51, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Number Stations?
Just re-watched this episode. The sound that's made when the kid is hooked up to the neural stimulator sounds like a code that uses the NATO phonetic alphabet. If the kid IS an observer and if the number stations ARE related to the first people then this could be evidence of a connection between the observers and the first people.--Petroleum Blownapart 03:13, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- - Maybe. But that is all "after-the-fact" (for this episode). Maybe all of the players are "earlier" NATO pact signees? :) –DocH– my edits
References to the Alternate Universe?
When Peter Bishop shows the child a "Roadblock" action figure from the G.I. Joe series, Peter comments that he always remembered the scar on the other side of the character's face. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fordianslip (talk • contribs) .
