Zeno Possibility

The name 'Zeno' may refer to the Quantum Zeno Effect which in Quantum mechanics refers to the suppression of unitary time evolution caused by quantum decoherence in quantum systems provided by a variety of sources: measurement, interactions with the environment, stochastic fields, and so on. Put simply, continuously observing a quantum particle will cause it to never decay. This leads an interesting thought: Given that the Glyphs for the pilot spell out 'observer' and the observer is connected to the green and red dots on the kayak, are the observers performing their observations simply to prevent the cataclysmic decay of the universe? Does simply the act of observing save something? One could also assume that this is a hidden message to all people watching series that we need to keep watching it for it to stay on the air...
