Musical cameo from LOST
The orchestral theme that plays after Act IV, Scene 1 is the piece, "Hollywood and Vines" [1], which was featured prominently during jungle trek scenes and season finales on the series LOST. Cduhn 02:37, 11 September 2011 (MST)

What is 'cowardless transfusion'? (reloc by DocH)
- - (My best SWAG based on the context it was used in) A cowardless transfusion is a bank of blood you establish SOLELY for your own personal needs. Many 'high risk of injury' professions (SWAT, etc...) support this practice. No need to search for blood (asking cowards who are afraid to donate) when you have your own stash - no one is a coward when it comes to donating blood to save their own life. Of course, they let the oldest donation out for general use before the shelf life expires. BUT -- This sounded odd to me too. I checked the DVD against the transcript... Walter says AUTOLOGOUS Transfusion... and the captioning does too. I changed the transcript to reflect that. Good find. –DocH– my edits 14:16, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
John Thompson and Adam Sears
Do these two names represent the same person, with there just being a disconnect between the comic and series production? We're getting into the area of cononicity here.--Jim 12:58, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- - It's a valid question, and needs to be discussed - no assumptions! But with 47 different kids involved, there will potentially be 47 different names. --The Marked Mouse 17:49, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Request for Episode Box Aligned Right
I would like to request, for the person who knows how to do it, to create an episode box - aligned right - that will give the vital information for each episode. And at the bottom of the box, we should have the requisite "previous episode" and "next episode" links.--The Marked Mouse 17:49, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- -Whoever took care of this - thanks! --The Marked Mouse 21:00, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- -Actually, it would still be nice if the bottom of this Episode Box contained a Season 1 chronology section, which gives two links: one for the previous episode (in the case of the pilot, there won't be any), and one for the subsequent episode. See the Wikipedia entry for the album With the Beatles for reference. Sorry, I don't know how to do this myself. --The Marked Mouse 21:06, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- -The episode box is a work in progress. When I add cast and actors, the format blows up! The chronology thing is a good idea. I'll see what I can do.--Jim 23:19, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- -Excellent work, Jim! I will take your template and use it for the comic book entries, for consistency. Again, great job! --The Marked Mouse 14:30, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Running Time
I don't know about anyplace else, but the Pilot Episode ran for 1 1/2 hours here, with commercials, from 8:00-9:30 - not 2 hours. I am not going to change this myself, as I don't feel comfortable editing yet. Pixie 19:45, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- - Thanks. I updated it to 1 hour, 35 minutes (including commercial breaks). --Dennis 21:39, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
The Doctor
Did anyone catch the name of the doctor played by Peter Outerbridge?--Jim 20:47, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- -Sure did - it was "Dr. Reyes." I'll make that update. --The Marked Mouse 15:12, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Matthew Fox as news reporter?
The voice of the news reporter sounds remarkably like LOST's Matthew Fox. Jack Sheppard, Fox's character, made the suggestion to burn the fuselage on LOST.
"Sources tell us the plane was deliberately set ablaze by the CDC, after all passengers The decision was made to burn the plane after it was determined..."—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jklmnop (talk • contribs) .
Zeno Kayak
The kayak Olivia saw falling from the sky in her dream had the word Zeno written on the side. She mentioned it was her uncle's kayak.
Zeno could refer to the philosopher Zeno who is famed for his paradoxes and a method of proof called reductio ad absurdum, literally meaning to reduce to the absurd
I'm not sure where this should be placed on the site.--Eag880 16:08, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- - There are different ways to do this, I'd say this was a good start. *If either the kayak or the name Zeno shows up again, we'll know you were onto something.
- If you feel strongly enough about "Zeno", click on the red "Zeno" above and you'll get an opportunity to start a new page. You can also put link marks around "kayak" and create a page for that.
- If either turns out to be unnecessary, we can later combine the information with another page or delete it entirely.
The only thing, I think, you can do wrong is vandalize pages. Have fun! --Jim 19:06, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Prologue and Numbering
In our TOCs, Prologue was para 2.1, Act I was 2.2, Act II was 2.3 and so on; the act numbers we're "out of step" with their representation in the TOC.
I took "Prologue" out of the TOC by building a line that almost looks like a conventional headline.
Comments?--Jim 22:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah - I think you solved a problem we did not have. On the Ep page 1=Intro 2=Synopsis. On the transcript page 1=Prologue 2=Act I. My point - the TOCs don't need to align with one another - between pages. TOC's only navigate you down the page you are on. The link from Ep header to Transcript header is not directed thru to TOC, and in this case, not confusing. The link is in the hyperlink within each individual header itself. This change you made should probably revert back to the previous status quo. Alternate solution = Make the INTRO on the ep page a NON-header. –DocH– my edits 00:44, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- - Okay, reverted. :)---Jim 17:36, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Two Things
- Trivia: At the beginning of the episode, Olivia's driving a black SUV; when she goes after Walter at St. Claire's she seems to be driving a navy-blue sedan.
- Is iTunes a reliable source for getting uncut scenes? It seems that in Pilot, when Peter says: "You wanted my father; now you got my father," he doesn't say the line "Which falls under the category of be careful what you wish for, sweetheart." Does anyone know about whether iTunes does this to the rest of the episodes? RAN1 20:51, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- - About the vehicles... not an issue. A Gov't motor pool may issue you a different vehicle on a daily basis, depending on your mission (duties) that day. An SUV would handle moderate off-road pursuits and carry your extensive tactical (or science) gear. A sedan says "no pursuit or gear today - I need to putdown some fuel efficient miles upstate" (retrieving a crazy scientist)... and when she chases and kills John Scott - it changes to a medium gray sedan. I don't know ITunes much... I never use it. But my original DVR copy of Pilot and my DVD boxset both have the complete spoken line → "You wanted my father. Now you've got my father. Which falls into the category, be careful what you wish for, Sweetheart." –DocH– my edits 21:44, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Massive Dynamic
In Act 1 when Olivia is following Broyles, they walk past one of the engines on the Jet, on the central spinner there is a Massive Dynamic logo.
Later in Act 1 when Olivia and John Scott are opening random storage units they come across a car in storage, that car has a Massive Dynamic logo on the grill. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Johnmulnix (talk • contribs) .
