| Described Hypothesis: |
| September's real purpose was to distract Walternate from finding the cure for Peter. This was to prevent Peter and Bolivia from having a child (named Henry in the series 1st timeline) by causing Peter's death. September's mistake was in not factoring in Walter looking in from the Blueverse, crossing over and destroying both universes in an effort to save Peter. The moment was important because it was an opportunity to prevent Henry's birth. The entirety of the first three seasons dealt with the attempt to fix September's mistake and prevent the destruction of the two universes. This was important to the Observers because of their plan to invade and take over the Earth in 2015, and that would not be worth while if it were just going to be destroyed in a little more than a decade. Peter was important because he was the one who would use the machine to create the bridge and save both universes from destruction. Peter, in turn, was erased not only because he served his purpose in creating the bridge, but because he and Bolivia had a child, Henry. Stopping Henry from being born was the whole point of September being in Walternate's lab in the first place. Henry, the child of Peter and Bolivia, must have been seen by the Observers as having some negative impact on their plans to occupy the Earth. They see futures and must have seen Henry as John Conner to their Skynet. Henrietta, in turn, may have the same negative impact on their occupation of Earth that her erstwhile brother, Henry, would have, except she has a talent for hiding what she is from the Observers. This may be because she is given a treatment of cortexiphan (new & improved formula?) in 2016, at the age of four, just before the last time she saw her parents. But the Observers were too myopically concerned about Henry and dismissed the threat once they were sure that Peter and Bolivia would never get together. Henrietta will blind-side them - —The preceding unsigned comment was added by homi jᴚ (talk • contribs) . |

- Displayed little, to no, ability to taste.
- Altered Human with modified senses.
The Observer is an android. The episode August shows us that Observers appear to be organic.- The Observer's abillity to vocalize Peter Bishop's thoughts (The Arrival) are related to Walter Bishop's comments about ideas being passed by osmosis. (also supported by the Hollis/August conversation August)
- Not immediately able to immediately vocalize the thoughts, after a few moments of "tuning in" he was able to speak Peter's thoughts before Peter vocalized them.
- Thoughts are electrical signals within the brain.
- Electrical signals produce electromagnetic fields based on the strength of the signal.
- Thought signals travel from the brain to the vocal cords at very high speeds.
- Are they born of nature? Meaning they've existed for as long as Earth has.
- Writes using a mix of signs from dead and/or forgotten/alien languages. Some of them were mentioned in the episode August. It is written from right to left.
- Possibly possesses limited telekinetic abilities as well as telepathic ones. In August one observer is seen on a security camera footage, catching a bullet with his bare hand, and seemingly without sustaining any injury from it. While a personal forcefield device could have been the case, the same observer got shot in the chest towards the end of the episode, making that theory unlikely.
- The boy in episode Inner Child is a future observer. He has the same attributes as the other observers and is able to predict events happening.
- The Observers are actually the First People spoken of in the book.
- The Observers are living manifestations of temporal anomalies or anachronisms. If you have been edited out of the timeline (like Peter) you become an Observer. This probably is what happened to the little boy who looked like an Observer in season 1. The Observer are beings from rewritten timelines who have been altered by the rewite. Once you're edited out of the timeline it's then your responsibility to keep it on track. Peter was always intended as a tool used by the Observers and now he will take his place as one of them.
