Why is there a light-box, as seen in Ability, in the room where Nancy Lewis is strapped down?
- In Susan Pratt's message to Isaac Winters, she mentions having taken tests. She was also part of the Cortexiphan trials, just like Olivia. The tests she mentioned were the ZFT recruitment tests, of which the light box test was one of. These test also serve to activate the subjects dormant powers. After Susan died, Nancy would have been the next viable subject, and was taken to the same place where Susan took the tests. However, due to needing Nancy to activate immediately, they would have skipped the tests and simply forced her to activate through high stress. This also explains why Harris believed Nancy's mind wasn't strong enough to control her powers: she hadn't been properly prepared through the ZFT tests.
Why does Walter follow The Observer willingly?
- The Observer saved Walter and young Peter when they had the accident that nearly killed them, revealed in seawson 2. Walter obviously trusted the Observer from that encounter years ago.
