Hello, Xerophytes

Welcome to Fringepedia

Questions

- hmmmm. I bet if you used the SEARCH function, and searched on "automatic signature" it would give a link to the HELP page. You know, where towards the bottom it tells you the steps for an automatic signature. –DocH my edits
- There are. –DocH my edits

User Page Dress Up

I don't know how we got this far without needing or even thinking about a UK user box, but it's there now; I trimmed your entry on your user page to match the name I gave the template. Thanks for calling the need to my attention. Try using {{User Status}} as well; if nothing else, it gives me a chance to watch the functions work on other pages.--Jim 14:44, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Pictures (an Flashforward)

Very nice photos. I visited Scotland in the 1970s and loved everything I saw. Have you been here: [1]?--Jim 15:01, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Episode SPLIT in two parts

? What ? Your trivia reference is too vague. I don't understand. So don't agree. –DocH my edits 09:35, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

- Erm, what I mean is, this is the first time we have episodes with part 1 and part 2. -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 09:41, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Now that --- I understand. Thanks for clarifying. –DocH my edits 09:54, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Alternate Olivia

UAQs -- Why do you think that Bolivia may be a shapeshifter? We have only seen shifters that take the life of those they morph into. Olivia is alive and in custody of Walternate. I think they pulled the switch when Bell was unconscious. alt-Olivia woke up Bell and came thru the door with Peter and Walter. Olivia was dragged off by Colonel Broyles and those she injured. We don't even know if the grenade she tossed hurt anyone. Just because Bolivia went to the secret comm typewriter doesn't raise the question about shapeshifter - because real Olivia is alive. Shapeshifter is not logical. -- –DocH my edits 02:55, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

- Nope. It's not me who put that. The only change that I made in the page is the Glyph. You confused me with someone else... -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 02:56, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry - I misread. Do you see my point or am I in error? –DocH my edits 02:58, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- You were right. I was thinking of revising the questions too. I think it is valid to assume that the Olivia over here is Bolivia. However, I have to say that the UAQ for the Selectric251 is valid as it appears that she is not knowledgeable about "our side". Unless of course, the other side planned this all along? -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 03:04, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Podcast Links

You update/fixed the podcast links today and I was wondering why? The old links, and your new links, both work well (for me). Did the older links not allow you to download the podcasts. If not, then it must be an international server issue... I get both (new/old) equally well. - –DocH my edits 18:14, 29 September 2010 (MST)

- Oh is that right? I tried checking the old link with the new link and thought that they were bad links, didn't check on that one on one. I tried the new links with just changing the episode number and it didn't work so I just assume that the old is the same. But I think it is a lot better to have the exact right link. -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 18:28, 29 September 2010 (MST)
- Not a problem. Just wanted to make sure you weren't restricted by the old links. And yes... better to have the exact link that the podsite is advertising and not their older archive site. –DocH my edits

PNG versus JPG

I discourage uploading PNG for large images like you did earlier today. The total size for the lot was over 2.1 Megs. I mention this because most of our readers, over 71%, have dial-up modem and not broadband. Those images take about 10 minutes to download on dial-up. Now if you can keep the images in JPG, the size will run about 20% of the PNG file, and have a much shorter download time. Please and thank you. - –DocH my edits 14:54, 30 September 2010 (MST)

- Sorry about that, I'll fix it asap. -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 20:59, 30 September 2010 (MST)

UAQ About bell from Bell

ShipBells.jpg Is the bell left to Nina the same bell in the desk of William Bell in the parallel universe?

Did you even try and find the answer before you asked the question?

Transgenic Species Page

We already have page/portals designed to take the data you loaded on Transgenic Species at Portal:Fringe_Science and Portal:Fringe_Science/Theories-Facts-Myths - feel free to go to the portals and update them. As it is now, nothing links the page you created. - –DocH my edits 14:22, 11 November 2010 (MST)

Olivia Birthdate

I am not entirely sure that the birthdate you listed for Olivia is accurate. Agreed - the date is what we saw on the Cortexi-bag... but did they know Olivia's birthdate - or did they just use the birthdate of their own Bolivia. We can't know for sure. They would need Newton, Bolivia or Van Horn to send back the correct data... or drug Olivia before they changed her memory and have her tell them. Either way - we can't tell for sure, so we shouldn't post it as Fringepedia fact just yet. Pre-pilot handouts (non-canon) have her listed as 29 years-old in Summer of 2008 - that is a 2 year discrepancy. The two Olives don't necessarily need to be born on the same day either. The universes are not aligned - one could have been born at 23:59 hours on one day and the other at 00:01 hours on the next day - two minutes later. - –DocH my edits 06:16, 6 December 2010 (MST)

- Do we have any indication of Olivia's age in the show? I can't remember it well... but pretty sure there's one of those things that was brush through in an episode like "x age when she was treated with cortexiphan - and that year was y". -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 14:20, 7 December 2010 (MST)

Gravity Anomaly

You wrote - "Gravity Anomaly. Lincoln notices a decrease in gravity ... density of osmium and lutetium radically change due to changes in fundamental of nature." The Os/Lu thing had nothing to do with gravity. The combination of the two made a "lighter-than-air" by-product that reacted normally to standard gravity. Gravity never changed, never became anomalous. –DocH my edits 12:35, 23 March 2011 (MST)

- Hmm... I guess so. Removing it now. -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 15:55, 23 March 2011 (MST)

FYI

Lead Poisoning
  1. Pathology. Toxic condition produced by ingestion, inhalation, or skin absorption of lead or lead compounds.
  2. Slang. Death or injury inflicted by a bullet or shot.
- On this side of the Atlantic/Pacific, my listing this is considered a touch of humor. (FYI) –DocH my edits
- Oh! Didn't know that. Thanks for the info! -- Xerophytes Talk | Contribs 13:22, 12 May 2011 (MST)
Jones Theory

You say - Even if Jones is alive, there is no point of proving Bell he is wrong, since Bell is confirmed to be dead. - I don't think there was confirmation. Truss talked about Bell being dead, but he doesn't work at MD, and hasn't in a decade. Truss may not know the real story or is repeating a rumor. On the other hand, Agent Lee just might something a little more up-to-date. He and Olive were waiting in Nina's office and Lee called Nina the Acting C.E.O. Acting means that you fulfill the duties and responsibilities of someone why they are away. Is Nina "acting" in Bell's absence - like she did in the previous timeline when Bell was alive in alts-ville? –DocH my edits 05:17, 6 November 2011 (MST)
